My brother is getting married in Ireland next week so I have myself a two week holiday... I've never been to Ireland but I picture the country full of gorgeous grey sport horses!! I would be interested in buying as I think I'd get alot more for my money then over here - cutting out the middle man. I believe you can claim back your importion fees as part of the ISH promotion too. So can anyone recommend any dealers, farms, studs, sales?? Thanks : )
 
I have a friend who may be able to help you. pm me if you want me to contact her - where will you be staying? There is an inward buyer scheme that pays your flights if you buy from some of the high profile sales, the transport back will only be £250-£300 anyway!

Flowerhill and Irish sport horse sales are one and the same. I have never bought from them but rode there years ago and its brilliant and Oliver is really nice to deal with. Nice people there.
 
which part of ireland are you going to be in?definately go to Cavan its well worth a visit even if you dont buy it'll give you a good idea of prices etc...great way to put the word out that your looking to buy as well..
