I've just bought a new horse imported originally from Ireland.

He is registered with the IPSA (Irish Piebald Skewbald Association) - he is actually an iron grey but sire was coloured. He has a brown passport.

His sire is Shian Moon (www.theipsa.com/ShianMoon.htm) - 168cm.

His dam, called Caherbanna Rosie, is registered as an IRIP...which I assume is an Irish riding pony? Is this a particular breed (connie?) or a particular height? I can't seem to find anything on the internet. He does look a bit pony-ish. If she was a pony it seems a big gap in height with the parents.

Here he is - he looks like he has a bit of connie in him.

It is Irish Riding pony. As far as I know it's where 148cams an below go when you register with the IHB. It's not a breed more a type like the ISH. As far as I know anyway.

Thank you all very much. That clears that up a bit.

I wonder if she was white grey? Enys seems quite dark at the moment...I hope he doesn't turn white grey :D
