Anyone know where to look other than on http:/www.sji.ie ?

The horse's name is Donegal Beach (Donegal Beech?). Sire is supposedly "Beach Ball"

Beach Ball is a S1 registered ISH stallion with Clover Hill and Cavalier Royale on the dam side. You could check with Horse Sport Ireland to see have they have any competition records.

You don't have to pay to view Irish records for any of the main affiliated disciplines - Showjumping Ireland, Dressage Ireland, Northern Ireland Dressage or Eventing Ireland. Make sure his name is spelt correctly though as the search functions will need it to be spot on.

If you're interested, there's a photo of Beach Ball on The Sport Horse Breed database - just Google it and then put in the name of the horse. There are only 4 offspring listed but couldn't see one with the name Donegal Beach(Beech).

He's not on SJ ireland or Eventing Ireland and he's being sold as an SJ-er. He is on that CapallOir website but it's not playing and still hasn't sent me my password.
I'm wondering if he jumped on a ticket.

I've seen that, thanks.. I'll keep looking :o

Try the fount of information that is known as Myrtle Peake. If he has done anything Myrtle will know. I do not want to give out her number without her sayso, sorry. But if you look up Show Jumping Ireland judges you will find her. She will also be able to point you in direction of any useful web site.

thanks guys.

measles - ill be asking him, definately..
it would be nice to know what he's done - either way, the horse is almost exactly what I'm looking for :)

Brendan McSorley owns Beach Ball and used him a lot so he may have bred your guy or will be able to tell you more about who did. Donegal Beach not on sji website so didn't jump affiliated at home. I've ridden a couple of Beach Ball horses - all nice types with good attitudes

Would you know the riders or owners name?
If you haven't already you can search against this criteria.
Put in the surname and the county and it will narrow it down for you.
Sometimes horses names are difficult to find where there is a slight spelling difference, space etc.
CapallOir is slightly different in that it is restricted to IHB members (as far as I am aware).
If the horse has nothing listed in the sji or EI then you can take it that he has not been registered.
The AIRC website is another database that you could try.

The breeder is not Brennan mc sorely according to cappalloir. Horse has no reg comp record, but may have showjumped on tickets.
