Irish Draught people - Stallions.

Hi there I am finding this post very interesting regarding ID stallions. I have a 7year old gelding by KEC Blue Jay Diamond out of a TB mare who was by Cougar who in turn is by Cruising. He is a lovely boy in every way expect that he is soooo spooky and anxious yet he will pass all traffic including hedge cutters, chain saws and even had a train coming towards him a few feet away and didn't even bother to look at it. He is super to clip and groom, load and travel and very easy to train except he spooks a lot in our school and can shoot across the school without any warning at all.

Just wondered if anyone knew anything about this stallion or had a horse by him, I rather think the spooking issue is from the Cruising line although he is a great grandson of Cruising but have heard they can be very quirky, He is a very kind chap with a sweet nature, and has Ghareeb also on the dams side so I guess someone was trying to offset Crusing with Ghareeb if that makes sense!

I had a super full ID by KEC Bluejay Diamond. Bought him as a just broken 3 year old, would do anything and jump anything you pointed him at. He was very successful in the show-ring and working hunter as both a 4 and 5 year old, 3rd in RDS Dublin horse show Small Hunter Class as a 4 yo and won the ID Performance class as a 5 year old. A lovely horse in every way- he really loved to jump and could get a bit buzzy at times when he knew was going jumping. He was sold on and continues to be superstar for his new owner. I have been on the lookout for more stock by Bluejay since, but there doesn't seem to be much on the ground. Any I have seen have been very much a modern ID and quite sporty and athletic.

With regard to the first post- have seen some lovely youngsters by Scrapman - I think the eldest are 4 this year. Lovely quality animals who look like they will perform. Haven't seen anything by the other horse.
