I don't have alot of experience of ID's, but I have a 3/4 ID 2 yr old filly that has the most chilled out temperament I have ever seen. Her sire is Benlow Cross, and her mother is by Flagmount King. I've only ever seen a cracked ID once, and it was down to very poor handling. Hope you find a lovely horse. Keep us posted with photos when you do.

Haha, Spacefaer, your boy definitely gave the dun aspirations 110% effort! I hope when I get my youngster they will grow up to be that cool first time out hunting!

NCIS - that sounds reassuring! Happy, chilled horse is what I'm after in the long run!

With an ID youngster would you suggest keeping 'it' with others of a same age group or with others of various ages and more human contact to avoid them going too feral?

archiesmum, in my experience, IDs are too nosy and friendly go too feral but it would be better to keep them in a mixed age group to teach them horse socialisation skills
 
I am hopefully going to see a very pretty yearling pure ID filly in the next week or 2 by Pembroke Royal Blue. Does anyone know any Pembroke Royal Blue offspring and what they are like? The stud also has some gorgeous ID part bred foals which I can feel swaying my pure ID thoughts!! :-)
