Hi i've just got a registered id on a blue passport I don't know much about Irish breeding but been told she has good breeding can anyone enlighten me she hasn't been named her sire is carrabawn ginger and dam clongowney dreamer has ginger dick in there aswell which I've seen mentioned a few times by googling her passport also says section b what does that mean thanks in advance.

Can't help I'm afraid but it might be worth while posting on the IDHS? My girl is by Carrabawn View so presume my girl and yours are sort of related.

Green passports are DNA tested progeny of reg green book mares by approved stallions. Blue passports are DNA tested blue/green book mares by section 1 or 2 stallions. white passports are anything else whether breeding reg or not. It looks like your horse is mostly Irish Draugh breeding. RID draughts have passed inspection, ID havent passed or havent been inspected.
But all this changed to a new system in 2013.

Well, you learn something new every day!! How brilliant.

My ID was on a green passport and I had no idea there were other colours. His sire was Clover Hill and dam was a RID mare so I guess that makes sense.

Don't know how to do the quote thing on my phone so thank you stormox :-)
