I've just arrived back from a lovely holiday in Southern Ireland, whilst we were there we did the Sear Head Drive around Dingle peninsula. On the way up there was a place to stop and go and pet sheep, pigs, goat, llama, horses and donkeys. Two fifty euros each and a small tub of food to give to animals, all animals seemed okay except the horses hooves and the donkeys were, whilst not crippling getting that way. The two horses hooves were just long but the two donkeys were starting to twist and the Shetlands not looking good either. On leaving I asked the owner why his animals hooves were in such a bad condition, his reply was that he knew they needed doing especially the donkeys but surprise, surprise his trimmer wasn't coming as asked and he would see to it.
What I would like to know would it be worth me getting in touch with your RSPCA and reporting this or are they like our RSPCA and probably not do anything, makes me really cross to think he was making a lot of money from these animals but wasn't bothered that they were extremely uncomfortable.
