Irish Nations Cup team to donate money

I would praise that, except that there are thousands of Irish homeless in Dublin alone, and other measures show that Ireland has not yet conquered poverty:

I fear that some prefer the grand gesture if it is politically-correct, rather than dealing with issues at home with the resources that belong there. Their hearts are certainly in the right place, and that is a wonderful thing, but their heads and hearts should be working together for the good of their own people first.

Good on them, I think it is an extraordinary situtaion in Haiti and they are doing what they can.

There are many homeless in this county however would you go and give your monthly wage to them, probably not as you have overheads, let us not forget that prize money forms part of their wages.

Well done to them.

I agree, I think it's a grand gesture in the best sense of the phrase in response to an extraordinary tragedy.

Good luck on the Irish Nations Cup team and I hope they win the main prize
