Irish SJ gradings

Help reqd - about to acquire an eventer to my yard; her Irish passport states that she was jumped in Ireland firstly at "E" level, then at "D" level. Does anyone know how this equates to the british Grade C,B, A level in showjumping? Many thanks

Grade E is - 0-30 points
Grade D is - 31- 75 points
Grade C is - 76 - 150
Grade B is - 151 - 200 points
Grade A is - 201+

so basically the same as BSJA points

Mine had something around 40 - 50 points through jumping metre classes. You can see their record online though if you go on the irish webby and put the name in. You get all results too so even 4f eliminated etc.

She must be fairly old....the letter graded classes went out nearly 12-15 years ago. Basically means she jumped 90cms and 1m classes

Yes she is - rising 15. I think she can teach me loads. Please look out for my next thread as I will be posting details of her breeding, as I know very little about Irish horses (despite being half Irish myself!). Many thanks for your help with this

They still have lettered grades but not longer have lettered classes...so if a horse jumped in an e/d/cd/bc/abc/ab/a its a fair while ago now! They replaced the classes with the metre system
