Irresistible horse feed ideas needed

I will continue trying to get some antibiotics down her- even if its a third of the dose it will hopefully reduce the risk of an infection occurring.
Hopefully it does the job, but do be careful as incomplete doses can contribute to antibiotic resistance, as the dose might not be strong enough to kill all the infection off, leaving survivors to reproduce.
Which shouldn't be a problem here as it's being used as a preventative, but it's always worth bearing in mind :)

Another vote for Saracens Releve. Honestly it smells so good I would eat it - blackberries in it ! My mini is allowed a handful a day to get his meds down and its the only way he will take them. See if you can scrounge a bit from someone to try and sending healing wishes to your Mare xxx

Custard and antibiotic in a syringe is what my yard owner uses, probably not technically correct but always works. I like a jam sandwich if they are eating.

Remember if you are syringing try to do some desensitising to help - place the syringe in her mouth a few times a day without the liquid/with just water. To try and get her more accepting when the medication is given.

She's eating!!!
I bought some Saracens Re-leve and Mollichaff show-shine on Wednesday, which at first had the same reaction as other feeds, one mouthful then leave them but then I noticed that she'd only drunk her waters halfway down (usually Dolly drinks one then starts on the next) and the same again Thursday morning. I started to wonder if eating with her head down is painful so held a bucket up for her last night and success, empty bucket licked clean. YO has an over the door bucket which he has leant me until mine arrive tomorrow.
So happy she's eating again although feel awful that I hadn't thought of this sooner! 20191219_192918_compress19.jpg
