Would it be too much to ask someone to contribute £20/wk to share my horse?

She's a 14.3hh heavy weight mare. 15yo. Kept on very quiet private yard, reasonable hacking, but not facilities like a school or anything. She is an almost novice ride, doesn't jump brilliantly.

I work/look after my children most of the time, so only ride some mornings and occasional evenings, so sharer would have almost as much time as they wanted. She is stabled at night at present but will probably live out over summer, so not too many jobs to do.

Nope, thats pretty cheap really for a share :)
Sounds like she would be perfect for a happy hacker a few days a week

I agree. It would cost at least £20 to have a one hour ride at a riding school so i think £20 a week for several rides is a bargain.

that is a perfectly reasonable price to ask. I would expect to pay that plus a contribution towards shoes as well.

Oh good. Just seen an ad from a "mature lady" looking for a horse to hack out and was wondering if £20 was going to offend her, but it's worth a try. She can only say no or barter me down!!:)
