Is anybody riding in this weather !!!

Have been putting it off all week as I hate the rain and so does the horse but she's the type that needs to be ridden daily or she goes completely nutty and after yesterdays dancing to the field and back on 2 legs business I thought I'd better force myself to try and school some of the madness out.
Now she's never liked the rain, and hates the wind - its chucking it down and the school is surrounded by trees which she was convinced were going to fall on her. Took 20 minutes to get on her and we had a VERY interesting ride, complete with all sorts of complicated high speed movements - thank god my acavallo 'glue' seat saver arrived today because I'm sure that held me on!! Called it a day after 40 minutes once we'd managed to do 3 semi-normal figures of 8 in trot :D

Had a lesson and the rain was stinging my face!

Only just starting back but didn't want to let the weather put me off and I'm glad I still went now. Hot shower, dry clothes and heating on is called for this afternoon :)

We hacked for 5hours wednesday, was really good day:)Quick hack thursday morning in the rain, and off we went camping!:)Was really interesting to put tent up in the rain and wind, but we never put it up so quickly!:)And wonderfull New Forest ponies around!Life is good.Glad we camping, not riding in this wind!:)

Not today, but yesterday we went to the local Equestrain Centre's clear round evening just so we could ride in the indoor school (did do two CRs), lol!

I am fed up too horses out in day time in lightweight but i ahve had to bring them in at night as my older mare has been shivering with getting cold and wet. I havent rode since last friday as its been so wet and our arena is flooded! Its just endless for the time of year.

It is tiresome. But I don't mind riding in the rain when its warmer weather as I find it quite refreshing as I tend to get hot when I ride on account of all the blubber that surrounds me :)

Me too! I quite like the rain on my face when I'm getting a bit flustered and much prefer it to the horrible humid weather with all the pollen in the air and flies flying in my mouth, eurgh!

Been out with the horses tues, wed and thurs evenings this week and they have both behaved impeccabley well... Not sure Wots going on there!!! Usually would have been using wind and rain as an excuse to mess about!!

Yep, hacked yesterday, was drizzling as I left and raining by the time I to back, then had a lesson this afternoon in the outdoor school in the howling wind. He was perfectly behaved both times :D

Went to a show on Monday, day off Tuesday, schooled Wednesday, hacked yesterday and day off today. Charlies desn't mind the weather at all but I don't enjoy riding in the wind/rain and unless I have to I try my hardest not to....

Managed to have a couple of lessons in the indoor school, but Tuesday when the weather wasn't too bad here, there was no one around to go out with :( Will be joining group lessons in the indoor tomorrow and Sunday. I think it is supposed to be nicer tomorrow (briefly), so maybe we will be able to go out?

I don't necessarily think it is safe in this wind - there are lots of branches over the roads, so I would guess it is a bit 'dodgy' on our routes through the woods.

Yes and got very wet today,it is too much time off for them if we do not ride when its raining here. Would be nice to get a few dry days though.

Yes managing to ride ride between showers but mainly in the school. I was riding on wed eve as a thunder storm was approaching, it was quite scary but at the same time quite exciting!! Got off quick tho when the lightening started over head!!
