Is anyone competing on this hard ground next weekend ?

Probably the 80 and the 90 :) You?
Big chestnut probably running out at related distances and a classy dapple grey probably acting like a diva ;)

Well, we'll start with the 70 and see how he goes . . . if he's a good boy we may skip the 80 and do the 90. Will definitely look out for you . . . Kal will be the (mostly) fleabitten grey (his bottom is dappled) impersonating a donkey (due to his large, donkey-fied ears) . . . jockey wearing navy blue (hat and jacket), Kal sporting a navy blue numnah and possibly either standing on his back legs and waving to the crowd or having silly run-outs . . . bright blue lorry.

Best of luck :).

I shall look out for you guys at Pachesham as im only round the corner and its a great chance to catch up with a load of friends who go

Entered at Frickley ODE on Sunday. I'm still intending on going but will obviously take it steady if the ground is hard. I'm in one of the later classes so hopefully it will have broken up a bit and I'd hope that they would water if it is too bad anyway.

I've just noticed on BDWP that the organisers have been watering and will aerovate before the event, so hopefully the ground will be good.

What a brilliant effort, especially as it's 'only' an unafilliated event! :D

We did an eventers challenge/short format ODE last weekend and the ground was only just ok, we have entered Wheatlands ODE for Saturday and have decided to walk the course on Friday and make a decision then- we may well do the dressage & SJ then withdraw from XC if we are not happy with the ground. Then the big boys have nothing until the 11th August. Meanwhile baby horse and rehab fat boy will do a mini xc in a fortnight just for a play so not so bothered about the ground for them as jumps are tiny!

No . . . was supposed to be going to Wheatlands to do UA ODE, but am now looking for some SJ on surface to do instead. Also, have entered Mattingley at the end of the month but am rethinking that one too.

Not worth the risk to my (older - he's 13/14) horse.

P

Have you withdrawn from Mattingley?

I'm entered for the 80 but unsure...it's hard to know this far in advance. As we're beyond being able to get a refund I'll probably go and see how it is.....

Does anyone know if they will water?
