i was going to go showing but due to the FMD decided not to as i keep mine on a farm, checked they were o.k poo picked , did some loading practice with the cob as she is in one of her "i,m not going in there" strops again, had a few rears and barges earned herself a smack - she really is like a petulant child, if you give an inch she will take a mile, not scared just stubborn - had her loading a treat, took her for a drive and unloaded and reloaded without trouble, we were both sweating buckets by the end!! have done naff all with either of the other two though, i will ride moses tomorrow, it was just too hot and i don't operate in hot weather LOL, so how was everyone else's day??
 
yep same here, bugger all today, not complaining about the weather but it way tooo hot to ride.... did pointless things, but good bonding time

now i feel guilty, took mine to the pub, long long slow relaxing ride with a pint and meal at the end of it and grass and water for him. he would rather be out in the shady woods being ridden than in the field in the heat or in the stable cooling, honest!
 
Yep, was supposed to be SJing today but instead

walked pony to the pub

drank beer while pony ate grass in beer garden

walked pony back to the yard

fed pony, turned out and went home.

I rode this morning....well a quiet plod out, hosed off, fed and turned back out then went home to the garden where I sat consuming several glasses of pimms

Yep, most days! I was up for a couple of hours today, but most of that was spent chatting to my friend

southwestwhippet, shame youre so far away, you sound like my ideal riding partner! our dog is exhausted and snoring heavily in her basket, bliss a quiet night all concerned then!
 
i rode at about 6 when i got home from gatcombe and just pottered round the field on harry (thats about all i can do anyway what with foot and mouth and harry being an asbo pony!) for half an hour

ahhhhh, it would indeed be pleasant but Surrey is far too far away

(TBH currently kitchen is far too far away which is why I am sitting at my computer feeling really thirsty. Now THAT is laziness LOL)

I felt bad on sat cause I went to ride and JUST as I turned into the yard I got a text from work asking me to come in earlier, so I just fed and watered etc, and then came home - I did feel guilty about that...

Did a bit of schooling, then OH came up with the camcorder and videoed me and riding buddies. Plan is, next horrible wet day I'm gonna take my portable TV/VCR player (yeah, I know! Jurassic!) to the yard's static livery caravan (thank you fabuloso YO) and spend a happy afternoon pulling each other's riding to bits and (hopefully) learning something by seeing ourselves ride. Too hot to do much else!
