Is anyone else staying in tonight?

Staying in as impossible to get babysitter for less than price of horse:eek:. Can't be bothered with New Year's Eve anyway, far too many people about, have to pay to get into pub and then it takes 3/4 hour to get served and you don't get a seat :( what's the equivalent of Bah! Humbug for NYE?
 
Yep staying in. OH always goes out without me since we had the kids - nice eh! Am now at the stage of enjoying the peace and quiet when he b***ers off out.

Have got my bottle of Baileys and plenty of choc, so I'll be fine!

... Well as I couldn't find my 10" cerise pink stilettos and matching handbag to go out in I had to make that sad decision and stay in!

We've just demolished (well not quite) a chinese takeway - it was rather yummy - tis very useful to have the expanding waistband on toooooo...... it looks like there's been a riot in the kitchen so I'll have to clear away the debris before the futes get a yearly airing for the champers.

I keep opening the fridge door and Mr Chocy Log keeps on saying "hello - can I come out yet!" to me!!!

Champayne is chilling nicely with Mr Chocy Log - so he may appear later if he's lucky!

Me - and nto being miserable about it!

I hate hogmanay - as a child in the 50's and 60's in the nother of Scotland it was always a big thing and there was first footing and what not - drunk people making fools of themselves then being ill.

It's not much fun really, over rated and ultimately futile!

But I do love having a quiet new years day with my family and ponies. Enjoying a well earned break form work and just chillin' out!

Nightmare - but think of it as a cr*p end to 2010 rather than a bad start to 2011.

I'm in - trying to convince 5 yr old son to go to bed, My OH & I just fixed 3 bursts in water pipe in rug room, now have a glass of vino, fire lit & feet up. At some stage tonight we will reminise about 'the good old days' when we shivered for hours trying to get a taxi home in the early hours of new years day. Champs on ice for later :D Oh & there is chocolate log left in the fridge as well ;)

Oi! less of the 'oldies' you young 'whippersnapper'.

Actually, perhaps age is becoming a problem, just rushed off to do OH's tax return online - thought deadline was 31st Dec - ha ha! Nope! was 31st Jan 2011 - still never mind - it's all done now :D First year I've done it early :)
 
Yep... came back from the stables and OH had cooked dinner :D still in shock lol!! and he run me a bath even more in shock!! Anyhow ended up going to our local for a few back home and he has fallen asleep on the stairs oh yes im sat here watching tv and catching up with H&H whilst he is snoring on the stairs not bad for first NYE as a married couple :D!!! Happy New Year to everyone K xxx

Ha ha love it although i have far to many embarassing photos of him he wouldnt care less lol!! His Best Man at our wedding had a collection to show from asleep on the kitchen floor 'Naked' to the trying out the wifes facemask!! :D Alcohol + OH = Messy!!!

For anyone who cares he has now progressed to asleep on the sofa in the living room and i have excelled in fire lighting tonight!! woodburner is roaring and all down to me yep!! Whoop whoop!! Anyone else watching lee evans??
 
We had planned to go out but OH is ill with man flu (which I have noticed this morning I have caught!), so we stayed in last night. In fact we were in bed when midnight came and only woke up because the bl**dy next door neighbours were letting off VERY noisy fireworks. I wish they'd ban those horrid noisy ones, dogs were barking everywhere and I had to go and calm our cats down. It just terrorises the pets!

I'm not a fan of NY I must say. If you go out, its horrifically busy and drink is horrendously priced. And what for? 5 mins of cheering and a sing song at midnight. No thanks!
 
As a "whippersnapper" AND a uni student, extreme pressure was on for me to go out. My friends were all going out for a meal and then the plan was to stay out all night and have breakfast in the local restaurant in the morning!!

I went out for a meal and stayed out till 10.30... dirty stopout that I am!

My sister was at home "poorly" and all I wanted to do was sit up till 12.05 then go to bed in time to do the ponies at normal time in the morning!

I still got to dress up nicely and have a lovely time with my friends, without consuming a single drop of alcohol and I was up at 7 to do the ponies!
