Is anyone else totally terrified?

I know that you should never become complacent among horses, especially TBs!!

How true that is. I have a 4 year old (ISH not TB) who is the sweetest and kindest mare ever and who is totally relaxed about everything (normally). My mum and I decided to trim her for a show in the summer, just her bridle track with scissors. I held her and my mum stood on a set of steps. How stupid was that?! The mare got upset, chucked her head about, knocked Ma off the steps and she broke a rib and dislocated her shoulder. We have both owned and worked with horses all our lives and you would think we would know better than to use a set of steps to stand on to trim anything let alone a 4 year old. I went out the next day and found an old beer crate and chucked the steps in a skip!

Yes....ME!!!

Not of the horses I hasten to add (only of them getting stolen - paranoid about that) but the fact that as of 31 December I will no longer have my job (*******S) and am terrified that I will have to sell them if I can't find another job .
Have enough money in savings for possibly a years worth of livery at the moment so hoping that I'll find work quickly.
On the bright side I have never had a problem finding work before so hope that this will be the case now. It's just a little bit harder when its a different language.
