another boring one staying in, i am not feeling the love for festivities, my horse was pts on fri 13th and today is a bad day realising i am not going into the new year with him . this time last year i was out on the razzle then on new years day we were hacking and being photographed for a calender riding through the river, lovely memories but so tinged with sadness :'(

Me either my first mare was pts 30 dec 95 anniversary yesterday, my horse of a lifetime pts last dec 3rd hate this time of year and i broke my arm 6 weeks ago. What is there to celebrate? sorry for your loss Fuggly I know its hard

I'm working nights at the moment until 7am and then off to see the pony straight from work to give him his New Year's Day breakfast (normal feed but with an apple), muck out, have a brew with the OH and then off to bed - Oh is working nights too. Have a great hack everyone who's planning one and have a gallop for me!! x

Ive been a bit ill over the last few days so still tired & I don't drink so for me there is nothing worse than being out with a load of drunk people & being crazily tired

Im 33 and stayed in! Well,went to my mates for tea and a brew! Up early to turn out my horsey so no hangovers for me tomorrow. Would rather be fresh so i can ride if the weather is ok. Happy new year everyone x

It's new years day here now, and I stayed in, watched the Graeme Norton Special (clever how we got it before you guys had had NY), got woken up at midnight by a lot of fireworks, and went riding on the beach this morning. Which we had to ourselves. Bliss.

We stayed in too with a take away . At inlaws this afternoon was hoping to ride this morning but weather is horrible so no horsey time . Hope weekend is nicer.

I stayed in, only 24 and single. I was planning on going to the pub but a combination of car not being taxed and broken finger means I'm unable to drive, and couldn't get a lift. Oh well, going to have my christmas lights ride today since I missed out on christmas day

Yes, it wasn't really riding weather here, either, as I discovered on top of the Howardian Hills

It also wasn't the weather for extricating a stuck vehicle and trailer from mud, nor for removing stuck on wheel clamps which may or may not have been still attached when I tried moving said trailer.
