Is anyone else's horse getting their summer coat?!

from merlin not growing any hair since being clipped, his summer coat is now coming through

it is really nice but still very short

but is anyone else's horse getting their summer coat?

Mines practically got her summer coat - she's been moulting since mid January. Just a few hairy bits on belly and thighs still to go.

Yup, my boy has a full clip, and really just this week his leg hair has started to come out in handfuls (now I remember why I clip!) and his new hair has come through on his shoulders and flanks, so he's looking a bit moth eaten!

The Moose has been moulting for a good couple of weeks now - i get enough fluff to make a good-sized pony off her every time she gets groomed.

I love her summer coat, its the most beautiful rich mahogany bay.

Mine started losing his coat in mid january. He is unclipped and only wears a fleece at night. Luckily it's nearly through as i'm fed up of being covered in white fur

Mine started just after Christmas.......looking forward to her getting rid of her winter woollies completely hate getting back in the car after a trip to the yard feeeling itchy from the shed hair

Figs is moulting (is that even a word?!) like crazy, hopefully turned out in the field the last couple of days with no rug will help shed the beast some more

My big fella is still like a Wooly Mamooth,lol.Don't know if the difference in Climate up Here in Scotland might make a difference to Moulting times.Can't wait to see him in his summer coat..

Missy is starting to loose her winter coat, Just used a curry comb on her the other day and the amount that she is loosing is unreal .

Yeah my horse has pretty much lost all of her winter coat but my pony still looks like a teddy bear.

Yes Drifter is. Last weekend it was pretty stable but by Wednesday all Grooming had become a veritable Blizzard of fine golden hair a bit of a pain as I have an allergy during coat shedding but he does look drop dead gorgeous.
