No, sadly not. My horse looks like a mammoth. I’ve not ridden since early December really due to Christmas and various other bits then since I’m pretty reliant on someone to ride with me and have had no one, I’m quite sure he wasn’t that hairy before.
He’s currently not look out of place tethered to the side of the road.
I’d very gladly have him moult.. although I may just clip the whole lot off to avoid proper moulting as I’m pretty allergic

Yes , my Spanish horse is. She lives out here, not too far from Bordeaux. We've had a fair bit of rain over the last few weeks but with no minus temperatures until earlier this week.As a result I put a rug on her for the first time this winter. When I took it off in the morning the inside was absolutely covered in hair.!
It's very sudden as I groom her every other day: Sunday nothing, Tuesday lots. Normally she would start in March.
Her companion is French and hasn't started but he is hardier than her.

Mine has started and he’s in Colorado where the forecast this weekend is -25c!
Good god! Does life still carry on as usual? I know we are a bit weedy over here and everything go's wrong and grinds to a halt at far warmer temps than that! Presumably your more prepared over there?

No signs of shedding yet. I will hunter clip (currently has a blanket clip) in first week of Feb to avoid the shedding!
