Is anything selling at a decent price ? - ebay

I've also sold some stuff on eBay recently, some of it went quite well but others didn't. I do think a 'friendly' description seems to help, rather than just one listing the points of the item. Such as 'lovely soft black leather girth, very good used condition, no scratches or marks' rather than just 'black leather girth for sale'. Also add sizes etc and as many pics as possible.

I'm not selling a girth by the way, it's just an example!!!

I think my ads look ok this is basically what I have written. I've given details, good pictures etc. have stated any faults the item may have. All items are clean too.

Hope my bids go up :-) Really not wanting to take the listings down now I have one bid and lots of watchers.. Just hope they sell well... Really need the money for stable mats my poor horse has severe COPD :( (sob story :D )

My daughter has just sold a pair if real UGG boots on ebay, she got the price she wanted.
If the item is really good I always think what is the least I would want for it and put that as the starting bid then everyone knows where they stand. Brands sell and now when I buy something I always go for a known brands just in case I need to sell it on. You may not get what you paid for it but you certainly will get more than if its non branded .
If you are selling cloths its a bit harder as how they are presented is important, if its a jacket I always put it on a manikin and make look like its in a shop window.
As someone was said when it ends is really important and I do like Sunday evenings, and don't forget that e-bay can just be used as an advert if its something big and valuable. I have bought and sold large value items that way.
Do not be disheartened if it doesn't sell first time wait a couple weeks for the market to refresh if you bought and the price is right someone else will.

I just sold a dually halter on eBay for more than they cost new...it had only been on him a handful times so effectively brand new but still, seemed odd :)
