As title really.

Hope everyone is OK.

I am in the Wet (was "West" country), a little inland from the Jurassic Coast area; and (touch-wood) I don't think we've had the very worst of the weather that has been around elsewhere? I wasn't liking some of the weather-maps I was seeing last night and this morning.

That said we are on Devon pink clay here, and my poor pony is just looking like something from an industrial sandblasting accident right now, bless her.

A very windy hectic night west Ireland. I had checked the forecast yesterday and there wasn’t warning of this storm. Get to bed to hear the winds pick up, tarps flapping keeping me away, and absolute mayhem.
Wake up to everything blown everywhere, tarps blown off stuff, and it’s due to be like this until 5am.
If I’d have known it was due to be this bad, I would’ve battened down the hatches more, and removed the temporary tarp that was installed near the bedroom winding slapping about all night long!

Thankfully the horses have a lovely wind-proof shelter and would’ve been safely in there keeping warm.

I'm in Northwest Shropshire, where its rained continuously for the past 24 hours and is set to continue through to sunday am. I'm at work in school but am actually still soggy and cold from doing an early morning field check on the 3 beasties this morning and to be honest probably wont dry out before I head back after school at 4pm. Didn't sleep very well last night so am tired and thoroughly fed up and am looking forward to heading home putting my PJ's on, lighting the log burner and watching Children in need later.

Raining solidly since yesterday evening here in West Berkshire. Elderly free range pony has voted with his feet, and has chosen in, the other two are having a duvet day. Thankfully we are on a hill and the land drains pretty quickly once it stops. There will be plenty of run off on the road that goes along the bottom of the valley though.

Yeah we had a weather warning for north of Ireland on Tuesday and nothing yesterday, but it was definitely worse last night! Nothing much to speak of today, quite pleasant. Until midnight, apparently, when Claudia arrives!

We’ve just brought the boys in for the first time since we turfed them out last October as it’s wet and blustery here. I’m half tempted to keep them in tonight but will see how it is in a few hours. My youngster is away on schooling livery and having a duvet day.

Pretty wet in Gloucestershire. Its rained solidly all day and night. Mr P is trying to go all livery yard on me and ban turnout  I do know he very much has a point but he also started making my turnout pen shelter more weatherproof and so far each horse I've put in the pen has refused to go in the shelter.
I think I'd rather the two that go out together usually to just go out as ususal rather than have to choose which one stays in the pen too scared to use the shelter (which is usually in full use all the time, they all love and use it a lot)
Dilemmas!

and its raining even more.....

Wet in Kent. Rained overnight and was meant to stop this morning - they lied.
Went for a 2 hour hack and got very wet. The deer were sheltering in the woods.
Chucked mine back out and hayed them all. The thought of mucking out for the next 4.5 months fills me with dread so they can stay out. Two are rugged with rainsheets and necks and Shetland always warm

Where I am in Staffordshire, it started raining around 11pm yesterday and hasn't stopped since (at least whilst I've been awake). Not due to stop until sometime tomorrow. I only had to pop out for food shopping, and I was glad to get back home! Those of you with horses to look after definitely have my sympathy. I'm supposed to be riding in the morning, but I'm not entirely convinced I'll get there as there are a couple of roads on my way that often flood in less persistent rain than this.

We are in the midst of a predicted 50-70mm in 24hrs, which seems about right. I’m so glad to have my hard standing areas, they may be underwater in places, but at least not muddy and slippy. The Shetlands may need arm bands soon. Got soaked this morning all the way into the bottom of my wellies so not looking forwards to putting on wet coat and wellies later.

Its dry in Northumberland, ive even had my washing hung out! Also rugs which are normally waterproof but were drenched on Wednesday night.
Hoping it misses us.

Suffolk. East Anglia. Started to rain heavily last night. Eased for few hours this morning. Then non stop. And will continue until Saturday. Fields very wet. Brought horses in at 2pm.

Lancashire. Raining on and off but 40+ mph wind all day. Some trees down. I've not gone out beyond the shop, pony is on livery fortunately.

Now 47mph.

started last night hasn't really stopped, OH bought the horses in around 2.30PM so they are happily warm and dry and munching..........glad i came to work in the pick up so dont have to worry about floods!

Moved a pony out of the ‘wet’ paddock, but the others are ok. It will drain quickly too once it stops. Roads are worse than the fields, little streams running down the sides everywhere.

Wiltshire

We are under an Amber rain warning, started raining about 8pm last nigh, hasnt stopped yet, wind picked up this morning,so its pretty filthy. But as it happens the dentist came to do my horses, so they are all inside in sedalin induced happy daydreams, so no turnout, but I had them all out for a leg stretch pre dentist. My dog is a fair weather soul, and he has outdone himself today and managed to not leave the house until 3.30pm!

eta: I can really recommend waterproof trousers from Kramer, I've worn them all day, and I'm still dry.

South West and it's biblical! Heavy rain, non-stop since last night. Driving to the horses was like white water rafting.

Just refreshed my forecast and it's allegedly due to stop at about 3am, then be dry for a few days.

I know we prayed for rain in the summer but this is ridiculous!

Apparently the desert bred arab is well’ard and enjoying paddling in the flooded hardstanding and practicing her splashing, whilst the Connemaras and Shetlands shelter in place!

(Technically not desert bred, more Dutch riding horse with high % arab, but that doesn’t sound as good in my narrative)

Rain not stopping till tomorrow. Brook is creeping closer to home.

Rained constantly since last night here and now very windy here. I brought mine all in this morning... even though they all have shelters I am soft and it's the wind I worry about. Looks like it's going to rain for most of the day tomorrow here too. Roll on Spring!
