Is ginger safe?

Does anyone know if dried ginger is safe for a pregnant mare? She is 40 days pregnant. I googled it and some say it's ok and some say it should be avoided. I am wondering since my gut balancer includes ginger, but it's the second last ingredient listed so I assume it only contains a small amount. My mare struggles with fecal water and I were hoping this supplement would help with that

Probably safest to contact the supplier of your specific balancer and ask them. If they can't give you a good answer, then avoid to be on the safe side. Pregnant humans eat ginger to help with morning sickness, but that's not to say it's OK for horses.
