I just moved my boy to a new yard today. He seemed to settle in well. He has a thing for greys and also mares. He is in an L shaped stable block. He is in the corner of the L with a lovely grey mare on the other corner (he seems to be in heaven) and another mare next to her. The three of them spent the afternoon straining their necks out in an attempt to meet each other and then proceeded to all nod like mad in unison. The mares were sticking their bottom lips out at him and craning their necks and sniffing the air. My boy responded by doing the same and also chewing, licking, yawning and also very uncharacteristically banging his stable door.
I hope this means he and his two new 'girls' are happy with the arrangement. Not sure however as I've only ever had horses in sex separate grass livery and then my boy was stabled with only geldings as companions before.
Can anyone decode whether my boy is happy or not in his new home.
