Is horse manure bad for dogs?

Entomologists make fake cowpats laced with anthelminitics and study the insect communities using them and the rate of decomposition (which is very telling).

Was always taught to keep horses in after worming so you can clear up the droppings, as worms are passed on this way and the importance of poo picking if left out after worming. I thought this was basic everyday horse care.
 
Mine love it, too ...
I don't bring them to the yard at all for 2-3 weeks after worming and remain vigilant thereafter for a few weeks.

Sure but it can be dangerous to dogs for 2-3 weeks and we don't normally follow them round with a skip. Well, not all 30 horses on my yard anyway. LOTS of poo lol (also my dogs help themselves off the dung heap, the dirty buggers!)

A pretty old recommendation TBF, I've never and will never do so.
