Is I growing up into being a spangle like my mum?

Following my thread about what cross breed Rocky is:
http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=456771

I have some new photos of him now at 5mths old (yes I know he's going to be a big boy , but please don't tell my hubby ;)!!!)

He certainly loves the water (mum is a working cocker, water retrieval etc so that is not unexpected!)

Sorry for the picture overload!

You seem well cool buy my muvva says your daddy must have been a hossie because you iz too big to be a spangle.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA!

(Sorry about that, cheeky wee sod! But I definitely think mumsie had a romantic interlude with a fence jumper :D)

I's like to eat horsie poo (mum says I iz not allowed but iz well yummy) so maybe i's grow to be as big as a horsie. Dont tell dad tho, he sayz I is too big already and he is gonna swop me's for a kute dog. Dunno what dog is kutier than me's tho.

Seriously we think we have narrowed possible dad's down to most likely being a working lab type. We met a bloke that breeds working labs and working cockers and he said he was pretty sure we had a working lab cross. And having met one on a walkies (I didn't realise quite how different they are to 'pet' labs!) I can see a lot of it in Rocky.

As he gets older he seems to be getting more spaniel features than he had as a pup (and his ears are most certainly getting longer by the day!), we just have enormous feet and super long legs.

He's definately going to be a water and agility dog - we can quite safely say that already! He loves paddling and adores bath time (weirdo!). And if there is something he can jump over he will (despite our best efforts to keep it calm so we don't damage those still growing bones).

I would've said border collie, but would've expected him to be a bit hairier and it's probably more his colouring making me think that. So I have no idea, but he's gorgeous and if he ever goes missing don't look at me :D

A lot have said collie but that is just the colouring that is deceptive! Put him near various collies of the same age (which we did at puppy training!) and he looks nothing like them. I assume (if its that simplistic) that his colouring came from his mum as she is a black and white cocker. And he has the spottiest belly I have ever seen - black spots which are joining up to become splodges and are now all down his legs as well.
