It deepends whether they fall off half way round or not.
You have several options
a - Catch the vomiting bug
b - Eat little to nothing until the competition
c - Spend at least 2 hours before needing to wear them in a rubber suit in a sauna
d - Combination of b & c
e - Get some black electrical tape and neatly tape round - no one will notice!
Yeah, acceptable at this time of year - try to wear some thin (you don't want any extra width!) black knee-highs so it's less obvious and if anyone mentions it say: "Oh they're always falling down, I'm sick of pulling them up again!"
OK so now I need some black knee high socks that are thin at the top and thick at the bottom otherwise they rub my as someone said today, cankles
I can fasten the stud at the top so that will have to do. I could probably force them up but I dont want the zip to break and my feet also appreciate a blood supply
A few years ago I had a wide left calf thanks to a pony "laying" on it - I could get the zip up with difficulty but to this day it slips down
It was summer so on hot days I had to try to elevate it before classes and often leapt off immediately afterwards to release my poor leg - unless I had another class in which case it had to remain encased otherwise I'd never get it back in!
That was showing though so zips down = totally unacceptable!
i had to do my CCI* in germay with one of my boots taped up as the zip broke just before SJing
so dont think any one will notice and boots were none the worse after being taped up!! Also no of some one who P2Ped with there boots taped up as they didnt fit!!
