to kick a mini shetland that has kicked you? Would anyone elso do this? I saw tonight someone go into a field of ponies with a bucket of food and he got kicked when they all started fighting and he kicked this tiny little thing in the stomach, hard so it looked and then threw the bucket at it. I was horrified.

no,doesnt matter what size it is or what it was doing imo

No its not!!! I have seen many people resort to this when they have lost their temper with their horses. It is an accident waiting to happen and the result can easy be a broken rib.I have added some pictures Just to show people what can happen and hopefully make some people think twice before they even think about doing this!. My pony Simon suffered a horse kick in the field which resulted in a broken rib that unfortunatley became infected. He had to have an operation at Leahurst and this was the result after surgery. I WARN YOU THE PICTURE IS NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED!

Here is the same wound three months later. Unfortunatley we couldnt see how it healed as Simon died from colic 2 days after this picture.

Basically just to iterate what damage can be done. I would imagine a kick by a big person to a little pony could do just the same amount of damage.

Absolutely not! Doesn't matter if horse was tiny or huge - disgusting, disgraceful behaviour. Send the person over here - I would soon show them what being kicked in the stomach felt like.
