ive had many suggestions on how i can prevent my part tb mare from throwing her head up and gaining control and deciding to run off with me and a friend suggested using a market harborough on her. has anyone had any experiences of using one?

Yep used to have the baby pointers in them to hack to start with as they were a bit strong with the head throwing.

Most important to remember is to start with it not too tight!

thankyou. is it best to use in a snaffle? will this help with her being strong over all as there just no pleasure in going out for a hack and getting ran off with! x

I use one on my mare with a snaffle and never had any problems, tell a lie, the only problem I had was the day I hacked out without it, we stopped three fields later!!!!
