Is it embarrassing to have a lesson as an adult?

It sounds like he needs a bit more self awareness!

Actually, one of the things that is stressing me a little about the group lesson is missing an instruction! The other is, if we are doing poles of something, I'm rubbish at remembering routes! Which is fine in a private, but I don't want to look like a muppet in a group lesson! :D

I can see how it might feel a little awkward to be the only adult in a group lesson with children, but certainly nothing to be embarrassed about. As long as you're learning and having fun, who cares? If people want to judge negatively over people having lessons, frankly I think that attitude is more embarrassing!

Glad to see you had a good lesson. :)

Luckily I happened to take the wrong info, so it wasn't full of children an there was a few other adults :)

I had my first lesson (ever!) at the grand old age of 34, surrounded by kids, and have been on the same yard ever since. I've recently bought my first horse and am now having lessons with her six years on. The only thing I've ever found hard about the kids thing is watching my language (I fail most of the time!) :-D
