Is it glands?

Madam keeps getting a huge swelling on the side of her face. Now her glands have come up before, but down the side of her head from her ears (not her cheek). I thought it was a bite, but it is going down overnight and coming back again after being out.

Jake had this in his left cheek and I asked the vet and its to do with grass. Grass creates a lot of saliva and to keep up production the glands swell.

Is the lump sore or anything? Does it have a head? If so, call a vet

is it under his jaw? is his teeth in working order?

Very common. Makes horses look like chipmunks. First time I saw it I freaked out, but have gotten used to it. If it goes down over night that is what it will be.

Thanks, as I say she does suffer with her glands but not normally there.
