Is it immoral...

P. Dale! Some people have done far less and remain banished! Ok, ok it won't be me next time!

Indeed, poor Catembi has had a permanent ban yet this person keeps reappearing and frankly, after the disgusting lies she has perpetrated, I think she should be outed at every opportunity, frankly.

Its also irresponsible, either or both horses could get hurt and unless you know have had your mare swabbed you dont know what if anything she is carrying that the stallion could then unwittingly pass on by the owner not knowing he had covered a dirty mare.
A work collegue breeds traditionals and they run with the stallion all year and one of her mares had its leg broken after the stallion whipped round and lashed out after having just covered it.

This completely immoral unfair on your mare and just plain old wrong. There are way too many horses without homes anyway and those that are bred should be bred for a reason other than the owner thinking it would be nice and research should be done into the genetics

Not read all replies but what if your mare damages the stallion? Will you fess up and pay vets fees or sneak off and hope he survives ?

This was a joke people! I'll explain.

Op thinks the stallion she sees everyday is georgous (compliment to said stallion and owner) and she has always dreamed about what a foal would look like if her mare was put for the stallion. She just said it in a way with.... Wait for it.... Humour.

...If I jump my mare into the paddock with the lovely coloured stallion down the road and have an 'accidental' foalie as a result.

I know his name so foal would even have name on passport and not be ridiculed for being a bast*rd child.

I know when his owners come down to check him so could time it perfectly, plus my mare can jump five bar gates (as proved when she took off that one time...)

They shout to each other over the fence, I think it's cruel to keep them apart and the foal would be so lovely :p :D

Hehe, it's the sort of thing I think about with mine! I realise you are *probably* joking, but I think to be able to register a horses parentage you either need a covering certificate from the stallion owner/stud, or you have to do a DNA test to prove parentage

Just to clarify, I am indeed joking :p

Though I am now very good at my shocked face and feel it would be the perfect opportunity to put it into practice :D

A foal?! That's coloured as well?! And looks like your stallion? Ooo well I never!

I smiled at the original posts but I'm now giggling my backside off at the humour police!!! Jeeeeez.

Breed her, without a doubt OP. I'd also ask them for foal support.

You could just put the mare in with the neighbouring dairy herd. You'd get a black and white baby thingy, wouldn't you? Still very cute.

Definitely - go for it - our old boy jumped out of his stable and into a neighbouring mare's stable once, and got her preggers - and all without any human intervention!

Good golly! How has anything survived without humans? I'm amazed! We are clearly the sole reason the Earth is still spinning...

Dooo itttttt ;P
I'm glad I don't have any "whole" animals..
