I've just orderd a lightweight stable rug with no neck (100g) for Blue,

i already have a 120g one with a neck but i wanted one without a neck so i could put it on him under his rainsheet and it would therefore turn the rainsheet into a lightweight turnout !

And i can use it to layer in the stable over night when it gets colder....

I'm a cheapskate and don't want to have to buy a lightweight turnout as well!

can you not get a lightweight turnout just as cheap and if would be less hastle. derby house saddlery were doing lightweight turnout rugs for £25 and they were quite good quality as my friend got on ????

I have one of these from Derby house, they are now reduced again, £22 I think!

Much safer than layering rugs in a field as they do tend to slip.
