or has anyone else noticed how expensive horses are just now?? as you kno i've been looking for a fun horse nothing special, and everything i find that sounds like what i'm looking for ie not great at jumping nt much competition experience just a fun horse for hacking on, seems to be at like £4000!! i might just be being a bit of a ditz but they seem very expensive just now.

what do u think??
 
Yes I have found that too, all really expensive. I reckon not many people out there are giving their horses a lot of experience either. One good thing, lots of general public are telling more truths I think because of come-back, legislation etc. lots of horses, "not novice ride" etc but still expensive!
 
at this rate i'm gonna have to either take on a total nutter, a foal or find a loan with view to buy so i can raise the money lol!! can't find and loans with view to buy tho.
 
I was told its really fruitful if you put an ad in Hand H for horse on loan wanted, but you will of course get a load of nutters offered to you so still have to trawl through tehm same as buying.
 
horses are ridiculously priced at the moment and not selling - and then the people who do sell at reasonable prices are looked at strangely for being too cheap! Like Sallypops I have gone down the route of buying a nice 2.5 yr old instead to bring on!!
 
It depends what end you are on. When we were looking to buy anything decent seemed to be over 4K, however when you are selling everyone tells you your horse is overpriced and there seem to bee loads of similar types on offer cheaper
