Is it just me who sits for hours on a pile of hay and watches the horses or do other people do it?

Went up the field this afternoon, groomed for a while, did some of the jobs and then just sat down there for 2 hours (in the snow!!) watching them. Is the most amazing thing!!

There is 7 of them in the feild:
My (soon to be Boy

) Oscar:
His mum Janey
His half sister Tara
Her mum Fi
Her other baby Ellie
And another 2 foalies George and May

They are all so sweet and today decided to play, nibbling each other and play rearing on each other?!

. . . It has always amazed me how subtley they communicate with each other! And how the boss (Fi) is so loved/respected. . . as soon as they see/hear something they are unsure of they all hide behind her!!

They eat together, play together, go to the water pond together, run around like nutters together! (Except the two mums. . . way to much effort)

Do they still do the pink lining then?

I was looking for it in pink for my filly in autumn and couldnt find one anywhere.

Are we still talking about the cow rug

It isnt blue lined just the binding and the buckles (lining is black)

But when I bought his few weeks ago ( I know hard to believe is filthy!!!)

They did blue binging in all sizes and pink in pony size (I think)
Dont know if they will still have them now as they have been on sale and going really quickly!!!

Well if and when I have the time I love to just hang around in the field with my mare.
When I was young I was very lucky indeed, we had our own land and many horses, so I used to spend almost every spare moment of my time out in the field sat with all our horses, being a mixture of mares, geldings, foals and a stallion. It was wonderful and I have very fond memories of spending hours upon hours out in our field with our horses

I like nothing better than watching mine in the field, in fact I was sitting on a mound watching my pony and his fieldmates this afternoon - not the most interesting time though, two were asleep, one was over the other side of the field being anti-social, and my pony was more interested in getting at the grass under my feet, wherever I put them, so I kept having to move and the ground was cold so i came away.

I love doing it - even took a cup of tea out with me and down in the sun watching madam pootle along in her field. Have managed to take some strange but wonderful pics over the years by being out there. Can't think of better ways to spend the time with them . Like MD1 said, i have had every blade of grass nibbled from around me - and then got shoved out hte way so she could get to the bit beneath me cheeky mare!
