Is it just me?

It is a awful lot of money considering the current climate, but more importantly what have they done to his forelock in the 5th photo :o
 
I know, poor thing. He looks like Dwayne Dibley (for all the Red Dwarf fans out there - if you don't know google image it!)
 
Perhaps he has an utterly legendary personality and is as safe as anything, while showing talent? Perhaps his paces are fabulous? Nothing that shouts the above in the ad, but a good horse doesn't necessarily have a well written ad!

Must admit that it is more than I would be prepared to pay given the info in the ad myself. Looks a sweet boy though.

Poor thing.

issue here is probably that they are somewhat bias - they bred him and see him perhaps differently to others.

Price seems high, but then depends on what someone is looking for!
 
whoah thats is a heck of a lot of money ! doesnt sound like hes done a lot for a 7 year old either ! i dont think id ask for 7000 for my 16 warmblood thats done loads of hunting jumping B.E etc and always brings me rosettes ! i think you will be surprised what some people are prepared to pay though.....the forelock cracked me up too !!
 
hmm, you know the saying "less is more"? personally i'd have left off a few of those photos... actually i'd have done a side on conformation shot with just a bridle plus possibly 1 flatwork and 1 jumping shot (i'd expect a 7yo at that price to be popping 90cm pretty comfortably so I wouldn't have used the shot on there). perhaps i'm just being a bit harsh.... looks like it could be a nice horse and worth going to look at though, just a shame the advert doesn't seem to do him justice.
 
I suspect there are quite a few people out there with plenty of money that won’t batter an eye lid on price when if comes to finding a smart pony that is both safe and has lots of potential for competitive child.
 
A double for DD definately! All it needs is a thermos flask in the background of one of the photos to prove a genetic link.
 
Ridicoulous in current market, I think they'd be lucky to get any enquiries from that ad at 3k never mind 7k.

Rubbish pictures, why don't sellers realise its the photos that make people stop and take interest, a video is even better, you can really sell the horse this way x
 
A pony who is scopey and well schooled who has no competition record can be pretty valuable to some parents... "Oh yes, she's done it all herself- he hadn't done a thing when she got him and now look"...
 
TB are 10 a penny. I personally would pay anymore than £1800. Done nothing to speak of. I would like to know why they think it is worth that much?

still something is only worth as much as someone is prepared to for it.

Yes but you can find them for much less than £7k surely?

He's not an ex-racer! He's nicely bred, goes well for a child, and assuming he is as excellent to hack as they say, I think people would be surprised at what the market will stand.

Value this then - 6yo WBxnative gelding, 15.1, excellent to hack alone and in company, been placed showing (PC show), prelim dressage and been to one SJ show. Easy to do, snaffle mouthed in all disciplines, XC schooled and jumps everything, not strong.

We've got a fun/beach ride and BBQ on Sunday at Kenffig if you fancy it. For a very good cause - Air Ambulance. We've had 1 member and 1 friend of the club need its services recently so want to raise as much as possible for them.
 
That forelock. We call that a Lily Allen up here. lol.

Well he def overpriced and at that I certainly wouldnt go look. you'd get much nicer for that kind of money imho.
