Is it just me............

Can i just rant that only 2 hours after surgery they are discharging my father?! what the hell!!! *is in shock a little*

  That can't be right. Did they say that thats a normal thing to do?
Hope your dads ok after his op.
I have to say after my last stay in hospital home may be the best place for him ;) :( :(

Some of you need to take a long hard look at yourselves........you have just admitted......on a public forum.......that you WATCH JEREMY KYLE!!!

DD do not under any circumstances allow that to happen if he had a GA.

He's had a GA, was out of over two hours. They wont have any of it, hes come out of recovery and discharged :S im going to send him to dr's tomorrow, concerned over the risk of a blood clot after all the chemo he's had and his varicous veins...

Its not normal to me but for this hospital, yes. They discharged me too soon and the next day i was blue lighted in as the muscle in my leg was dying.... im really worried :S

Look, Laura, i think you ar a love positive person, i can be a grumpuss and dont subscribe to the fluffy bunny approach. Does this make me a buly? No, what i see as honesty others might see otherwise. :)

Like i said earlier...chin up!

I'm sorry DD (gawd help me now), but I don't think one should hide nastiness behind 'honesty'. I'm not talking about you but in general - I really hope your father is will be OK because I've been there.

Thats awful  :( When I broke my hip they kept me in for 3 and a half weeks. I was climbing the walls and they only let me go home because I threatened to walk home on one leg if they didn't send me home ;) I hope your dad is ok and no harm is done by his early dismissle. have they sent him home with those sexy socks to help stop blood clots?

He's not here yet, but i wear those socks at night still so havea spare pair he can borrow :)

WOW im sexy :p

I am being sarcastic with some of these comments.

But yes, Snapped Women Who Kill is on the Crime and Investigation channel. I like the true crime stuff. Hubby worries a little.

But nothing gets in the way of The Walking Dead!

I sneak a peek at the Houswives series too. But I draw the line at Toddlers and Tiaras! Ain't no one got time for that!

Laura, I'm so sorry I have dragged this off track. I am a fan of both you and Herbie! And I always will be.

Terri

It's brilliant i just want to know where they manage to find so many weirdos ? so many people needed a trip to a dentist and lacking a few brain cells.

Ah well some of them are actually my "customers". I used to work as a benefits compliance officer, visiting people at home and checking their claims. I went into one house - about 11.30am. The girl, who was 19, with two teeth at the front missing, and four children, was slumped on a minging settee with a filthy nightie on which had food all down it and a cartoon bear on it, saying "hug me" in big letters (I'd rather not, thanks!). There was one child screaming and the other was crawling round on the floorboards which again were filthy and had last nights pizza discarded on them. The partner was slumped in his armchair wearing a back to front burberry baseball cap. Neither could form a coherent sentence and the whole time I was there, neither took their eyes away from the TV (This Morning was on). A few weeks later when in someone else's house (in the lounge with JK on the TV), who should be starring, but the above couple - still unable to form a sentence, but at least she'd taken the filthy nightie off!

Look how nice this thread turned out!!!! Bless you Laura, thoughts to you D_D hope your father will be OK. :)

Glad you have some at home. Hopefuly they've sent him home with them but sadly dosn't sound like they do a very good job :(

Is it bad this made me cry with laughter ?:D

Taking contradiction and hypocrisy to new levels on this one.

Glad I'm not the only one thinking that!

Laura, I don't comment on your posts generally but I love reading them. Stuff anyone who you don't know in person or don't respect. You ride for fun, your ponies are well loved and immaculately cared for. and together you all have a blast. What more do you need?

I'm new here so I don't really know anyone yet, however I've been on forums a long time (BHS and tackroom gossip!!) so I've learnt a trick or two.

Basically my survival guide for myself is if I have a question that might be controversial, search for it because you can bet someone's asked it before.

If your horse isn't eating or is lame or appears to have an illness, don't ask a bunch of Internet people, ring the vet or farrier, once they have been and seen the horse then you are generally safe to ask for further advice.

If you don't want people to make criticisms about your photo or video, don't post one.

And finally, some opinions are better left in your head! Haha! I generally find everyone friendly and very knowledgable, sometimes a little blunt to my taste but that's a matter of opinion :)
*hides and waits for abuse* ;)

Thanks (wipes away more stupid tears), he was my first colt out of my Connemara stallion and my Thoroughbred mare (still have her, retired now). Why can't we just all get along lol! I do appreciate it gets heated and I don't want to kick this off again so if I give this thread the 'kick' of death so be it, but look after your dad DD and feck it don't take no for an answer where his health is concerned.

Dads back and looks like he's been for a stroll around the block not surgery! :O

cup of tea made and he's watching the new james bond movie. :)

We do all get along ok, just sometimes there is a bit of hoof stamping and pinned back ears. Much likea herd really.
