So I was poo picking today (in this heat!) And one of the girls literally walks away from me, looks me dead in the eye, then goes for a s*** (not even blinking!) Then 30 seconds later the another follows suit! It was literally like they were saying "come on then, clean this up too slave!"

Have your horses ever seemed to treat you like "staff" and not their "best friend"?
Ungrateful urchins they are! Haha

mine are very tidy and always go in the same place,
they do this and i always think they are being helpful as i prefer them to go then than do it when i have put the barrow away :)

My cob is very affectionate but she definitely thinks I am here to do her bidding!

She has decided that this weather makes her drinking water too hot. So, as the buckets are easily visible from the house windows, she has taken to grabbing the buckets (4 big trugs) in her teeth and tipping them up - egged on by her Appaloosa friend! They always leave one trug though, just in case no-one notices - they don't actually want to run out of water!

My filly used to follow the wheelbarrow, wait until it was full, and then tip it over. She had the sweetest, most adorable face and it took her dad to take charge. He was able to command her to stand stock still with just a look, while he escorted me safely to the gate. The baby did not move until he gave her permission.

Mine sometimes follow me while I’m poo picking and produce a pile near the wheelbarrow. I slip the shavings fork underneath their rear end and collect the lot in one. I ‘think’ they’re being helpful, but I may be reading too much into it.
Ha ha this happens at our house too 😁

lol!! ... mine used to live on a yard where his stable opened onto an outdoor pen area so he come come and go at will. I never shut the door, and he would divide his time between the areas as he chose. He did, however, always leave me a mucking out job every morning in the stable as well as the odd one to pick up outside !! One day, I was in his stable mucking out, when he strolled in, pooped on his half mucked out bed and strolled out again!!!! Sometimes you wonder ..... !!!!!

Mine poos as soon as I get the breech bar done up on the trailer. I thought we had it cracked with a pre-ramp poo for a while but no, she's back to old habits. I must be quicker with the trug!

One of the first times I saw my current mare (prior to buying her), I watched her walk over to a wheelbarrow full of poo, scratch her bottom on it and tip it all over the grass(while looking totally innocent). I think it was then I thought she was the one for me!
