I find it weirdly addictive...I just love watching them throw themselves on the ground and have little hissy fits. Hardly men....but still entertaining.

Personally i'm with you however there was a lot of friendly banter going on at my yard this evening over who was going to win tonight, so i guess the statement 'All horsey people hate football' is a bit of a generalisation and incorrect!!

I hate it. Its the wrong shape for a ball! it should either be smaller and round or rugby ball shaped, not a big round ball! and i hate them heres a saying:
rugby is a game for thugs, played by gentlemen. football is a game for gentlemen, played by thugs .... lol
*runs away from all football fans and hides under a scrum*

sorry got say it BBBBBBBBOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRIIIIIINNNNNG I hate it, hubby loves it but he does drive me all over the place to my sponsored rides giving up his time so he deserves to be left alone to watch it , its my birthday and i have forgiven him for choosing the match over me, plus it keeps all the thugs off the streets....... would rather muck out or poo pick and least the balls are more interesting lol

rugby is a game played by men with strange shaped balls!!

My OH is a footy fan so we are watching, even though Man U are NOT our favourite team and OH is currently rubbing his hands as Barca are ahead.

Just think how PLEASED we will be when BGT is back tomorrow!!

ETA I LOVE going to see footy! I can just about do the offside rule. When we lived in UK we went to Highbury just as often as we could (friend has 2 season tickets). I also like rugby, tennis and cricket.

not fussed, OH is watching it and making funny noises. I might check if he is ok, or having a fit lol. I am hiding away on HHO forum lol

Ditto: OH chuntering away, swearing at commentators shouting 'DId you see that??' at me (No, I am on HHO)

I can see why people like football but tbh I just can't stand all the aggression from the footballers and the crowd. I know alot is banter but it gets on my nerves...all those aggressive faces/ hand gestures and singing/swearing. And the gobbing!!! Whats that all about?

Gawd...I'm such an old fart

I can take it or leave it - am watching the final tonight and cheering on Barca as I quite like them and I'll watch England games but not an avid football fan. Much rather some horsey action

UGH yuck did anyone else see Thierry Henry's gob? Man alive they can't even get spitting perfected.....

YUCK.

It is known as "w*nkball" by me.... but becasue OH likes it we have to watch it............ rugby players have much better thighs- and why else would you watch a load of men chase after a ball???
grin.gif

HATE FOOTBALL!!! Always have really, but i have been brought up in a rugby family and we have all played including me. . .and i have to say it is sooo much fun apart from the injuries. . .

And.. . . I would much prefer to look at a muscly rugby player than a scrawnt footballer

I was eating my tea at the time of the gobbing, it was disgusting and unnecessary. That really annoys me, that and when they blow snot out of their nostrils. What is wrong with a nice frilly hanky?
