look a damn sight fitter than a lot of others?

Daisy, Tina and Mary didnt look like they'd broken sweat in their close ups/interviews whereas Toddy looked like he'd been swimming.
 
Yes they looked very well, unsure the if the other teams have been doing fitness work like the Brits have.
Perhaps the weather was slightly cooler around their tests?
 
Rider fitness has come on in such great leaps and bounds compared to years past, where it was only the horses fitness that was ever the concern of the team. Now you'll rarely meet a top level rider who doesn't have some sort of fitness trainer/dietitian, etc.

All the better I say.

I can think of one lady who might benefit from such input.

There was another bloke (can't remember who) who was fat enough to be a showjumper... one discipline which hasn't really caught onto the rider fitness as much.... lol
 
The Brazilian at the end, right at the end of the dressage phase, was very rotund and looked very uncomfortable in the heat.

Becky Holder has lost a lot of weight. For someone of her size i think she has done very well. Still a way to go though. Of course she may have been better specialising in a different sport, like sumo wrestling but each to their own. Amy Tryon is just very masculine. I think AT is the most amazing rider. She can ride anything. She could even get a three legged horse over a jump.

i hope that's not supposed to be funny. very sorry, sense of humour failure here on that topic.
however well she might ride (and she's obviously good), she didn't NOTICE that that poor poor bloody horse was on 3 legs (i think you can't help glancing down if you think something's wrong, it's a totally involuntary reaction, and she didn't, even after the finish line) so she has absolutely NO feel at all. dreadful.
i sincerely hope everyone else goes well xc tomorrow, but if i heard she'd had a splat (not the horse though, obv) i'd not feel too sad. *goes straight to hell*

Thats a bit mean. But how's this. I hope she gets a stomach bug which causes the trots. Then, just after the start, the first attack happens causing a brown splodge to appear in the white breeches. Carrying on she goes splat in the water. Horse legs it home. The splodge then spreads through the breeches and down into the boots. Suddenly the sun gets really hot and she has to walk all the way back to the start.
