I don't think she's fugly either.
But some horses ARE fugly. Just as some people are better looking than others. I don't think it's mean, just fact.

I like the look of that one, but could do with some more muscle on her hind quarters as they look a little weak for my liking ( but then looking at my lad who am I to talk!!)

She is mine..... would anyone like to discuss her with me???

Thought that would stop the comments

Not really mine, but why say a horse is F*ugly when they are perfectly ok..... she isnt well muscled at the rear, but we dont know why!!! She does have a lovely face though!!

I'm with the majority here and think she is a very nice horse, a bit of correct work will soon have her looking absolutely fantastic.

I wouldn't say that she is fugly. She is a heavy horse, not a grade A showjumper. She is built for purpose and her lack of muscle can almost certainly be explained by her foal.

I can see her back legs look a bit odd but she has a beautiful head.
What a horrible idea to judge a horse purely on it's one picture, it may be the nicest natured animal and a wonderful ride.
Having had many riding school horse the best ever was called Spottie Dottie, an appaloosa cross with hardly any mane or tail, and a plain head, she was fought over by the customers because she was such a safe willing ride.
I can see us having a fugly site for people next, how horrible...

henryhorn, FHOTD isn't about being mean about horses that are less than pretty, it is a brilliant blog about backyard irresponsible breeding and has developed from there. I have provided the link so you can see for yourself, I personally think you will appreciate it

"Snarky commentary on the breeding of poor quality horses, silly training techniques, dangerous/bad behavior around horses, and anything else that annoys me!"

BTW I do not think this horse is a candidate at all and I think that is a bit mean actually. Yes, she may need more muscle topline blah blah, but I think she is a real cutie and just needs a little work.

FHOTD is not about slagging off horses, you too should check the link out and maybe get a better idea as to what the blog is about.

Well looks like it is just me then!

Her front legs seem to bend inwards, where would you put the saddle? Her hind legs look really straight, in fact her whole back end looks like it's been photoshopped on from another horse. She has that weird, pointy bump on her quarters and that neck
blush.gif
half the neck is hidden as she has her head turned towards the camera. She might be lovely and sweet and yes she does have a nice face but to me she just looks all wrong. I'll admit I am not a heavy weight horse fan. They are bred for meat in france.

'andsom e is wot andsome does' and I agree 100% with this saying

. Arent these horses used to fish near the shore somewhere in Normandy? With the correct work she would prob look much more together. Nice looking mare anyway. M

I looked at the horses they have for sale there; a number of them seem to be the sort you'd see in France at some feedlot .......

Do you think she was 'rescued'
