...................or does there only seem to be youngsters for sale at the moment??? Not only that......but there seems to be a heck of a lot of 5 year olds sold as schoolmasters/mistresses???

No, not just you! Me also :) !

I'm looking for something to get to know this winter and then show next season and after looking through all the horses ive had, and evaluating that I have had more sucess/got on better with horses a bit older 9/10/11 yo for example I was looking for something abit older but everything that seems to catch my eye and being sold as experienced??? is 4 or 5 yo!

Maybe its just us in the South West :P as im from Cornwall and cannot find a thing down here !

xx

Thats what i am looking for too! something about 8 yo or more. And like wise, all i can find is "experienced" 4/5 yo's!

Also people seem to be breaking general riding horses so young. I have seen 3yo's advertised as broken as 2 year olds, turned away, professionally schooled, done a seasons hunting, done xc/sj/dr clinics etc, ready to event!
What happened to the good old breaking a horse at 3, turning it away for a good 6 months, letting it develop, grow and mature and then slowly bring it on so that by 5 its ready to go. Or am i just old fashioned?!
