Lunge in the morning and then school my horse at night as part of her fittening up process???

She doesn't seem to be lacking energy and I want to make her as fit as possible, do you think this is overdoing it?

providing you are feeding her correctly and that you are not over doing the lungeing in the morning , also obviously that you havent jumped into this regime and that you have built it up and that she is happy enough then I dont see it a problem .

Oh good, its just our long schooling sessions were getting a bit tedious so wanted to break up her day and add some interesting work in for her.
She loved it this morning (squealing - up into canter) I did tell her off but it's lovely that she gets so excited...

I've been riding twice a day to get Chex fit and to lose some flab (from both of us

) and he's coping fine. He doesn't even get fed, but has plenty of energy.

thats what iv started doing, i feel a bit mean too but if i dont get him fit quickly ill just get bored. takes ages to get him fit hes so lazy!

I think thats great! Its brilliant for his fittness!! i would be doing that because my pony is a bit flabby!! but i dont think there is anything wrong there as long as your feeding her enough and mabye more than usual if she gets a bit toooo slim!!!
