ok so as some of you know i posted a thread on here about how i was supposed to be getting a horse delivered tomorrow but the owner changed her mind and decided she couldnt go through with it.....i was heartbroken as i truly thought he was the one for me.
anyway yesterday i was lucky enough to go and view a 15.2 chunky bay mare...so we went across and when we first got there the owner took us to the field and the mare came straight to the fence. when the owner bought her out of the field i started fussing her and rubbing her neck and the mare was loving it. so we got walking to the stable block and the mare got a bit in front of me and she just stopped and looked back for me. everything went great, her owner rode her and jumped her over a 3ft jump and then my friend got on (she's like my wing man) and it went great, the mare was a little tense but she does need a lot of schooling. and then i got on and ive never felt so safe...i controlled her with my voice, shes such a sweet natured mare! she's due to come next wednesday but i cant help but think 'am i gonna get a repeat of what happened to me last week?' the owner is really lovely and genuine but im still scared!

Of course it's natural - you were let down badly......but it looks like fate had other ideas here, lovely horse :D Things happen for a reason. xx

thank you so much....she does need a lot of schooling coz she does this thing where she trots with her front legs and walks with her back but this isnt a problem for me as it can easily be fixed with re schooling....but she has a ton of jump and shes great at hunting! x

Go for it - go with your heart !! Lovely horse, and if needing schooling is the only problem, you can even do that out hacking to make it more fun. I know it's hard to trust again when you've been let down, so do communicate with the owner - all sellers are NOT the same. xxx

I can understand why your feeling like that, what I found my boy it was a nerve racking time until I went to get him, but the day finally came and he came home with me :D best day EVER!!! :D

shes gorgeous by the way and I want to hear posts when she arrives home with you!! :)

Once bitten, twice shy and all that, I can understand that.

You have put down a deposit on her though haven't you? If you have done that, relax, if the owner is as decent as you feel she is then she will uphold her part of the deal.:)

Any chance of having your mare delivered earlier than Wednesday?
