to be quietly thrilled CCJ's entry for two horses in tomorrow's dressage comp got lost in the post?
The forcast is appalling, the road there is difficult and I would really love to relax with the papers then write some Christmas cards....

LOL!! I felt like that last weekend though when I got up and it was peeing down and windy and was not really in the mood, and yup, I could have quite happily stayed at home in front of the fire and roasted some chestnuts!!!

You sound a bit like me when I heard my dressage lesson was cancelled this morning! The lesson was at a school right on the coast so would have been horribe

HH...not at all!! TBH I would be pleased, nothing worse than having a dressage lesson/comp in this type of weather, there is only so much sideways work a horse can do!!

CCj and I were on our way for a lesson at Warren with Jade on Thursday when C's mobile rang, their school resembled a huge lake and she had to cancel. I turned the box around, and came home, sometimes it's best to just admit defeat and let the weather win..
Our school however is fantastic in the rain, it just washes out the corner like a river...

Not at all in this weather. OH is on way back from Gatwick just now having flown to Spain at 7am today...due home around midnight...and she subtley said she'd prefer not to go SJ'ing tomorrow.....given the weather I haven't argued the case

Is this the time to mention my son who is working in La Manga in Spain rang this evening and said today was so warm he had to use his air conditioning in the car...
grin.gif

Yes it was the Grange, and when it's cold, it's REALLY cold up there..
ps CCj rarely reads my posts, they embarrass her too much so I should be safe...hee hee...

LOL! Yes, apparently it was in the mid twenties today. She was down Malaga way too so not that far from La Manga. Unfortunately she wasn't there for the weather though...visiting a very sick relation in hospital instead

I must say, Sue, that when I woke up yesterday and saw the weather, I would have gladly stayed at home. Got soaked all day. Must be getting too old to do all this now. Certainly couldnt dash about at the pace I used to , in all weathers too.
Got home last night absolutely shattered.. took me an hour before I logged on.. must have been bad.
Heavy wind and rain, do no good for horse and rider.. and nothing is achieved. Wet horse, wet rider, wet tack, wet Mum.. Stay in and do nothing.. It is the weekend after all!!
