Is it normal for a child to clean her rocking horse's tack?

the best one is my youngest daughter teaching her friends to do extended trot around the school playground....she was 5 and my hubby said "Hannah do an extended trot to F and then do a long diagonal to H" like a good 'un she and her 7 mates went round and did their long diagonal...I felt like curling up in a corner when the teacher asked what was happening....

Thankfully she is now 15 and happy to leave her horse at the stables lol

this thread is making me giggle! thank god it's not just me that's brainwashed my children! I can have peace and quiet for ages if I give them an ice cream tub and a sponge for cleaning their rocking horse tack! they will sit on the arms of the sofa for ages watching badminton 2010 and gallop round the kitchen jumping "the hexagon hedge" and "the owlhole". every slope is the derby bank, every step down is a drop into the leaf pit!

What have I done???? It's going to be expensive, isn't it!

Bubs on her first pony, he was lead rein and a bit wooden to show properly! Didn't have the paces, just roll forward, roll back. He is still here. He was out on loan till a few months ago and will live out his last days here....unless it gets really cold and I need fire wood!

After him we invested in a quality pony for her. Storm is an all rounder. Travels well and can be ridden by any member of the family...including the cats!
You can just make out his bandages...how impressed was I when I discovered all my cotton wool gone!

My, then 3 year old daughter, daubed sudocream all over her rocking horse, claiming it had a sore neck.

Whilst I can't fault her logic - unfortunately said rocking horse was a fluffy one......:D
