Is it normal to jump 95cm classes in trot?!

Keysoe can be quite a spooky-ish place! Lovely venue though :)

I used to jump my old horse at 1m in trot only because he was SO happy in trot and worked out his take off point perfectly every time! Also was great for me while I was learning to see the take off stride and go with him!

Most horses can trot into around 1m but they would find the spreads and wider oxers more of a challenge because obviously they don't have the forward energy they would have if they were in canter!

Yes! I remember going into one of my ponys first few bn's and he literally just decided he wasn't going to canter... Was very strange! So we trotted the whole way ... Thank god he went clear :)

But we regularly jump the youngsters in trot up to anything at any height (up to a 1m) it really helps with their confidence and cordination while they're still learning to see a stride and experience different fillets ect ...
