Is it to early to clip? My wee ponies are Soooo fluffy already!! All sweaty and curly haired even after a short ride

Yes it's ok to clip, no it's not too early. Clipped last week as twenty minutes trotting and they were breaking a sweat, nothing like it now.

Never too early!! Clipped my Highland on Wednesday (chaser clip, not a full ...) got loads off him and he's a lot happier now. He was getting sweaty just going for a walk. Will probably have to do it again in a month or so, though so early clipping does have its drawbacks!!

I have clipped my boy. He was pretty woolly and although I'd rather have waited longer (to possibly avoid a second clip as he's a vet sedation case), I bit the bullet and did him last week. A much happier boy.
