We do without incident, it usually gets brushed off just before being ridden. The exception being last Sunday following hunting on Saturday - his legs were literally completely covered in mud up to and inxlusinf his belly - he had decided he knew the best way through the clay bog and chose to ignore his rider. How he kept all his shoes on I don't know. We just left it till Sunday - it was too late and cold to try to wash it off by the time we got home. It took ages to get off
