Well yes if you have 1,000,000 dogs per acre I can see the problem. However I've got 4/100 acres. All they do is chase the odd deer, maybe a rabbit or two and sniff after the odd fox occassionally.
I can't see that being a reason for having to keep the dogs to heel or on the lead.
I think dogs should be allowed to express their natural instinct as long as they're not causing cruelty or being anti social.
