At a livery yard?!
I think ive decided much as i love my current little private rented set up that if we dont manage to buy the field we have on the cards (auction so could go either way) that i have to leave.
I have the possibility of rehoming TB when the possibility finds a new home for her current horse so i wonder if at a push i might be able to afford DIY livery for my horse and daughters pony.
Problem being my horse is the most horrendeous windsucker i have EVER known- I work at 2 racing yards and nothing there is even close. Its very loud and frequent.
I dont use a collar but painting the top of his door in cribbox stops him whilst stabled as long at their is no where else in the stable for him to bite.
In the field he cant have post and rail and will pull out wooden posts for electric fencing.
At home i solve this by screwing isolators in the top of the posts and running an extra tape along the top. I also make sure he has somewhere to suck on (metal gate or we bang a post in by the gates!) He grazes much of the time in the field but is quite destructive if people are around and not giving him attention!
ermm, he's also a rug ripper sometimes (others not his own)
Is there any chance? How would a yard cope with a resident so special!
